What is YOUR journey?
I want to be happier, have less anxiety and worries.
I want to stop fighting with myself.
I want to feel confident and worthy and not be so critical of myself.
I have done talk therapy, but I still carry the weight of my trauma in my body.
I carry a lot of tension in my body and can’t seem to relax.
I want to show up differently in my relationships.
How can IFS and Somatic IFS help me?
Internal Family Systems (IFS) uses parts work/parts language to describe common problems and dilemmas that we face in our daily life. We have different perspectives within us when we are making decisions or respond to situations in daily life. Sometimes, the different perspectives don’t align - we experience an internal conflict where we want two different things at the same time.
Our conversations can help you to understand these internal conflicts better, I can help you to get to know your parts with curiosity and compassion.
The somatic aspect is especially helpful if you have done ‘talk therapy’ and didn’t find it effective. IFS is an evidence based therapy model for deep trauma healing and compassionate exploration of the issues that bring you to therapy in the first place.
I am an IFS certified therapist and trained in Somatic IFS.
